my makeup haul for 3rd week of August

Ok, I almost emptied out my Elizabeth Arden Skin Balancing Lotion SPF 15 and Studio fix powder foundation so its a good excuse for me to shop. So went to the mall and bought some stuffs.

Holika holika Miracle Skin Finish

This was on sale. I think the original price was RM65 but i got it for RM52. What it claims to be: Multi-cream with sun screen and whitening function that treats your skin tone-up and makes your bare skin look bright. I was looking for moisturizer with SPF.

Well, i try it today, it does feel good. I pat it on my face, let it adapt and change to my skin color before i put on foundation. Does make my face look more even. So its a good stuffs to replace my moisturizer with.

I have a weakness, i cant go to MAC without buying anything. So my damage today is the MAC pro concealer palette and Studio Perfect Powder foundation. I like the concealer palette as i'm looking for concealer for my under eyes bags and dark circles. The Studio Powder powder foundation is to replace my almost finish Studio fix powder foundation.

I ordered the OPI 3 days ago. www.nailfiesta.com was having a sale so i decided to buy those 3 colours. Im a pink and red girl so i love having different shades of pink. The nail sticker is surprise free gifts by the seller.

Urban decay new brow box with 24/7 liners

I've been wanting to get the Urban Decay 24/7 that is going on sale in their websites but i only like 4 colors, with a total price of 39.40, it wasn't enough to get the free shipping so i waited until something new come out that i want. For free shipping need to have an order of at least $50 to qualify. I already have more than ten pallettes of eyeshadows from UD alone, plus my many lipsticks and mascara I seriously dont need much. Then Urban Decay come out with their new collection with a new brow box so I decided to get one.

The brow box look like a cute kit with two shades of brow color, wax, tweezers and two brushes. I choose Brown Sugar since i have dark hair. This one costs $29(RM87).

Four UD 24/7 liners. These costs $9.90(RM29.70) each from the original price of $19.00

My Nordstrom Anniversary haul

Finally the Nordstrom Anniversary is accessible to non Nordstrom credit card members. So i managed to get some good deals for Lancome and Bare Minerals.

Lancome Haul

I need to spend $49.50 and above to get the Lancome GWP. Well, its not hard to spend that amount since Lancome products costs at least $20 each. So what i did is i get two sets of Hypnose Drama.

For $38.50(RM115.50) i get the Hypnose Drama mascara, Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony (0.02 oz.), Cils Booster XL (0.07 oz.), full-size Le Curler and Bi-Facil Eye makeup remover (1.7 oz.). Thats a really good deal since in Malaysia, just the Hypnose Star or Doll Lashes costs RM95. If im not mistaken, the Cils Booster costs me RM80 here.

With that i get the Lancome GWP, cost $148 for free. The best part it comes with another Lancome Hypnose Drama.

Bare Minerals
Im skeptical now about using Bare Minerals since i read that many people get little bumps due to it. My skin always have bumps since i have one of the most imperfect skin so im not sure is it because of bare minerals or not. Anyway, I had put up the order so i guess i just wait and see.

Got the Matte Foundation in Light, SPF20 correcting concealer and multitasking concealer.

With more than $60(RM180) Im entitled for the Bare Minerals GWP set:

 It consists of All over face color,Round the clock Waterproof eyeliner and Lipcolor in Moxie. 

Lancome Hypnose Doll Lash Limited Edition Mascara

Decided to try out the Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes as i have already tried the Hypnose Star which is one of my fav mascara. I got the limited edition mascara.

I got this for RM95 at Parkson, the Spring. One of my favourite makeup to buy is mascara. I think i have more than ten unopened mascara. Currently Lancome is my favourite mascara brand. Its even better than Benefits They're Real that people are raving about.

my search for metal eyelash comb

Been having problem with my eyelashes clumping, tried unclumping it with plastic eyelash comb but it doesnt seem to work. Then i heard of metal eyelash comb so i decided to go around Kuching looking. I found some at Watsons, the thing is they still have the original price tag on it, which is RM16.90 but Watsons selling it for RM32.10. That's daylight robbery! So i decided to check several local stores in search for my eyelash comb.

Then i recall that Kuching have japanese store called 100 Yen. And since japanese and korean are pretty good at inventing stuffs, i give it a try. And i found it, yay...

 And this costs me just RM5.90. Way cheaper than the ones in Watson. And it works. I can easily remove excess mascara from my eyelash and declump them.

BB creams

Been trying out few BB Creams lately, so this is what i have so far.

So far the ones i used the most is the Etude House BB cream. As much as i want to like the Super BB cream, it tends to turn white after few hours so i cant use it alone without foundation.

Otterbox for iphone 4s

My colleagues have been raving about Otterbox so i decided to get one and see whats the hype is all about. They told me the price in Malaysia is about RM300, pretty pricy for a phone cover so i decided to check it out during my trip to Washington DC since i know in the States, they can't sell fake stuff in malls. So i found one.

I found few colors but this is my favourite. This Otterbox is their Commuter series. Its a special edition Otterbox in support of breast cancer. I got it for 35usd(about RM105). The defender series costs 40usd(RM120) but im not a fan of it as it does look bulky with 3 layers.

My USA haul

Went for a trip to see Jon in Washington during Gawai. So i was celebrating Gawai in Washington DC instead. And of course, i take the chance to shop for stuffs that i cant find here :-)

Haul from USA trip

First thing, i got 3 train cases. The first traincase is from SOHO, costs me $30(RM90). This is for me to keep my makeup at home since i have lots of spare makeup :-P Actually i wanted to just get two but on the last day of our shopping trip, i thought i wont go to Kmart so i got the pink Caboodles train case from Walmart. It costs $13. Then we end up going to a Kmart so i go and get what i really wanted the black Caboodles makeup briefcase. The black briefcase costs $42 in Ulta but just $23 in Kmart.

Next, the nail polishes. Got the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails French Manicure from Walmart. I loves French Manicure, just that i'm a bit too lazy to do it most of the times then stick to just one color nail polish. Then i got the OPI the one that got away and shatter in white. It comes in a pair at TJMaxx. Got myself OPI top coat as well since i always run out of top coat. And the most beautiful red i've seen, OPI the Big Apple. The three round containers there are the Sally Hansen cuticle care stuffs.

I got 4 lipsticks from this trip. First the Guerlain Rouge in 62 Georgia($45). Then Coco Chanel Rouge Allure in 82 Flamboyante($29) and Rouge Allure Velvet in 37 L'exuberante(RM90). My sister have been raving about Tarte lipstain so i got myself Tarte lipsurgence in Envy.

I got two Elizabeth Arden cream from TJMaxx coz its so cheap. The eye cream and the moisturizing cream(not in pic).

Finally i get my Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation in Light Medium. Like it a lot that i got two :-). Costs about $38. Then i decided to get myself two Amazonian Clay Waterproof gel liners in brown and black($24 each). The tarte gel liners comes with the brush.

The sephora staff was nice enough that she gave me the birthday gift although my birthday have long past in Jan. So i got deluxe sample of Benefit They're real and Fake up. And since the mascara is my HG mascara right now i got and buy two mini as well for $10 each.

Next is the Anastasia Brow Kit($39.50). Decided to get it as so many bloggers have rave about it.

I got the 2 MAC brush in 150 and 182 from the duty free shop in KLIA. Way cheaper than getting it at the mall. This will go to my MAC brush post. Then i got the beauty blender.

I finally get the 3 UD pallette that i sent to Jon's house. Have covered it under earlier posts.

Hot tools sponge rollers and Clarisonic Mia 2

My hair have been thinning so i loves to have curl but dont like to use irons to create the curls all the time so i decided to get the sponge rollers. Its very easy to use. And the no 1 thing in my wishlist to get for this trip is the Clarisonic Mia 2. Its so expensive here, RM530 in KL. So i waited til i go to the states to get one. The best part, Sephora there is having 15th Anniversary celebration so i get the Sweet 15 set which include extra brush for $149(RM447).

1) To resize photos

Do you hate it when it takes so long to upload photos in facebook due to the size of the photo? I avoid that by using FastStone Photo Resizer. Its a great software that allows you to resize photo by the percentage or pixel.

I have this cool software to help me to do minor fixing photos. Great especially when i have a zit and need to hide it to make the photo look a little bit better.

I use CCleaner to clean my computers. It helps to clear cache, temporary files, history, cookies, Autocomplete form history, index.dat. In short it just helps your PC to run faster

my thoughts on Dior Rouge Serum

Got my first Dior Lipstick at KLIA airport while waiting for my flight back to Kuching. The price in the airport is way cheaper than town so i decided to get one Dior Rouge Serum in 650.

Its very moisturizing, makes me fall in love with it that it is now my daily use lipstick replacing my previous favourite lipstick, MAC in Brave. The only problem is its not lasting enough so i have to reapply all the time. Do love the colour on my lips, im a fan of pink lipsticks since i think red lipstick can be too much for me. I wear eyeshadows a lot so i do have to choose whether to emphasize my eyes or lips.

Ben Nye Natural Set powder with 12 concealer pallette. I thought i got the palette with spare cover tattoo 2. Not sure where the other one gone too.

Urban Decay Primer potion in Sin and Greed. Then the 24/7 liner in zero that i got from a blog clearance sale. Same goes to the MUFE HD Powder and Tarte Finishing powder.

Pilly sent lots of Ulta eyeliners, think im going to give it to mom and Ida since i have too many eyeliners by now.

The CD lipstick i got it from KLIA yesterday on the way home. Used it today, not long wearing but its very moisturizing for a lipstick.

Sephora Haul

Went to KL on 12 May for my US Visa Interview that was scheduled on Monday. Took me just 2 hours to do the visa. Went to the embassy at 8am, queue up with the rest of the ppl. Got my number then wait. By 10am im already out and got my visa approved. Yay. So after that time to SHOP

First thing i do, i go to Sephora for my wishlist. While queueing up, i got this email, Sephora have 20% off for all items from Monday to Wednesday. Just my luck that i happen to be in KL when it happen, big YAY.

Lancome and She Uemura

Here are a few stuffs that i bought coz of the great reviews about them.

Shu Uemura eyelash curler

It does fit the hype. Really curl my eyelashes. The cheap ones does tends to accidently crimp my eyelid (ouch) I dont have that problem with this. Pricey for RM65 but worth it.

Lancome Cils Booster Triple Care

This is the first one i got. Does condition my eyelash, makes it feel softer and dont fall off too much. I used to chemically perm my eyelashes so it tends to drop and feel dry.

This have vibrating functions, quite tricky to use at first since i dont like the vibrating feelings but it does help so that my eyelash dont crump with the mascara.

Lancome Hynose Star

Fall in love with the way it curl my eyelashes without eyelash curler. Currently my HG mascara, unless my Benefit its real Mascara prove to be better.

MAC cosmetics Part IV (skinfinish range)

When i start writing this blog and arrange my makeup, i found out that i do have a lot of Skin Finish range at my dressing table. MAC Cosmetics Part II ( Collection set)

For this post im going to show the MAC collections that i got. When i first try on MAC, i thought that i got a good deal if i buy the set brushes. The MUA said that its the same quality as normal brushes. BIG MISTAKE. The quality is not the same at all. But since i got it, i just let it sit prettily at my dressing table.

This is the first set. It contains 187 Duo Fibre Brush, 130 Short Duo Fibre Brush, 282 Duo Fibre Tapered Brush, 286 Duo Fibre Blending Brush. So far i dont use any of it anymore as i dont find the bristles soft enough. Its a bit scratchy too.

This is the second set. It contains 129E - For powder or blush,  219E - Large fluff brush. 224SE - Tapered blending brush (also good for applying creamy concealer under the eye), 227SE - Pencil brush, 266SE - Flat angled brush. So far i only still use the 227SE and 266SE. I actually like all the normal version of this brushes, i got all of them in normal size. Way better than this set in terms of quality.

This is the smokey eye set. I loves this, i use it regularly until i got my hands on Naked Basics pallette. But at times when i misplace my MAC Wedge single eyeshadow, i go here and use the wedge in this set as my crease color.

I like the brushes that comes with this as well. Still use 212 to tightline eyeshadows to my eye, then the 275 to contour my nose.
