MAC Cosmetics Part V

More MAC stuffs: Lip Conditioner, Lip Balm, Lipstick in Brave, Cleansing Oil and Brush Cleanser.

MAC Lip Conditioner

MAC Lip Conditioner
Perfect for night use to moisturise lips.

MAC Tinted Lip Balm

MAC Tinted Lip Balm

Use it to replace lipsticks when my lips feel too dry.

MAC Lipstick in Brave
MAC Brave
My favourite lipstick color, perfect for daily use at work.

MAC Cleansing Oil
MAC Cleanse Oil
I was sceptical coz i have very oily skin but it really works to clean the face. Use alone to remove makeup then add some water to clean the residue.

MAC Brush Cleanser
MAC Brush Cleanser

The fastest way to clean brushes. I use it on days when i just want to remove eyeshadow color on my eye brushes so that it dont get muddy for next use.

Lancome and She Uemura

Here are a few stuffs that i bought coz of the great reviews about them.

Shu Uemura eyelash curler

It does fit the hype. Really curl my eyelashes. The cheap ones does tends to accidently crimp my eyelid (ouch) I dont have that problem with this. Pricey for RM65 but worth it.

Lancome Cils Booster Triple Care
This is the first one i got. Does condition my eyelash, makes it feel softer and dont fall off too much. I used to chemically perm my eyelashes so it tends to drop and feel dry.

Lancome Cils Booster XL

This have vibrating functions, quite tricky to use at first since i dont like the vibrating feelings but it does help so that my eyelash dont crump with the mascara.

Lancome Hynose Star

Fall in love with the way it curl my eyelashes without eyelash curler. Currently my HG mascara, unless my Benefit its real Mascara prove to be better.

MAC cosmetics Part IV (skinfinish range)

When i start writing this blog and arrange my makeup, i found out that i do have a lot of Skin Finish range at my dressing table. Listed here are SkinFinish Concealer in NW25, Mineralize SkinFinish soft and gentle highlighter, Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Light Plus and Medium Deep and Mineralize Blush.

SkinFinish Concealer in NW25

Perfect to cover up my acne scars.

Mineralize SkinFinish soft and gentle highlighter

Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Light Plus and Medium Deep

Light Plus is for overall face.

Medium deep as my contour color

Mineralize Blush in Dainty

My favourite blusher. Just the right amount of pink for natural flush look.

MAC Cosmetics Part III

Here is to list out eyeshadow in Rice paper, BB Beauty Balm, Select Moisture Cover in NW20, Whim & Fancies Eyeshadow, TechnaKohl Liner in  Photogravure and Pro Longwear Eyeliner in Rich Experience.

Eyeshadow in Rice Paper

MAC Eyeshadow in Rice Paper
Perfect for highlighting the brow bone.

BB Beauty Balm

I like this due to the SPF 15 that it have. Im still looking for better primer with SPF.

Select Moisture Cover in NW20
Supposely to be used for under eye circles. Dont really use it much yet.

Whim & Fancies Eyeshadow in Plum
Use this a lot before i go for shopping frenzy for Urban Decay eyeshadows.

TechnaKohl in Photogravure
Nice brown eyeliner for the smokey brown eye look.

Pro Longwear in Rich Experience
Finally found my first nonsmudge eyeliner.

Prep & Prime Eye Primer
One of the products that i regret buying. Doesnt do much to help eyeshadow to not crease. I prefer the Urban Decay Primer Potion instead.

MAC Cosmetics Part II ( Collection set)

For this post im going to show the MAC collections that i got. When i first try on MAC, i thought that i got a good deal if i buy the set brushes. The MUA said that its the same quality as normal brushes. BIG MISTAKE. The quality is not the same at all. But since i got it, i just let it sit prettily at my dressing table.

Julie Verhoeven Collection
Julie Verhoeven Brush Set 1

This is the first set. It contains 187 Duo Fibre Brush, 130 Short Duo Fibre Brush, 282 Duo Fibre Tapered Brush, 286 Duo Fibre Blending Brush. So far i dont use any of it anymore as i dont find the bristles soft enough. Its a bit scratchy too.

This is the second set. It contains 129E - For powder or blush,  219E - Large fluff brush. 224SE - Tapered blending brush (also good for applying creamy concealer under the eye), 227SE - Pencil brush, 266SE - Flat angled brush. So far i only still use the 227SE and 266SE. I actually like all the normal version of this brushes, i got all of them in normal size. Way better than this set in terms of quality.

This is the smokey eye set. I loves this, i use it regularly until i got my hands on Naked Basics pallette. But at times when i misplace my MAC Wedge single eyeshadow, i go here and use the wedge in this set as my crease color.

The set includes 3 full-sized eyeshadow pans from MAC's permanent collection (Naked Lunch [frost], Wedge [matte] and Carbon [matte], 1.5 g/0.05 oz each), 2 special edition brushes (212 Flat Definer Brush - full size $22.50 and 275 Medium Angled Shading Brush, 1 full-sized Technakohl Eyeliner (Graphblack, 0.35 g/0.012 oz, ) and 1 Mini Zoom Lash Mascara (Rich Black, 4 g/0.14 oz, ) in a mirrored canvas box illustrated by London-based artist Julie Verhoeven which includes a step-by-step tutorial on how to achieve the perfect smoky eye.

I like the brushes that comes with this as well. Still use 212 to tightline eyeshadows to my eye, then the 275 to contour my nose.

MAC Fabulousness in Pink

MAC Fabulousness in Pink

I use this only sometimes to highlight my lips. I prefer to focus on my eyes when doing makeup so this i use sparingly. It contains Call Me Gorgeous (Cremesheen Glass) Bright fuchsia with gold pearl,  (Cremesheen)
Lickable (Lipstick) Bright, clean blue pink (Cremesheen) and Great Catch (Lip Pencil) Bright cream fuchsia

MAC Cosmetics Part I

Most of my cosmetics are from MAC. Its one of the few high end cosmetics that we have in Kuching so i shop there often for my cosmetics fix. I think i shop there too often until most of the MUA there knows me. I guess i post it in batches since i have too many.

The first few stuffs i got from them is the Studio Fix liquid foundation NC25, Studio Fix Powder foundation NC25, brow gel and Studio Careblend in dark.

MAC Studio Fix Liquid in NC25
MAC Studio Fix Liquid in NC25
This is the best coverage foundation so far for me. I have lots of acne scars so this do a good job in covering my uneven skin.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation
MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC25
I use this when i need to do a quick makeup before i go to work. It has less coverage than the liquid version but still cover the face well. I throw away the sponge and use 129 or 138 to put it on.

MAC Brow Set in Beguile

Brow set in Beguile

Brow set in Beguile to tame my eyebrows.

MAC Prep & Prime Pressed Powder
Prep & Prime Pressed powder

Prep and Prime Pressed Powder. This is one of my HG powder as it helps to keep the shine away from my face and make it shine free for hours. Sometimes when i forgot to put it on, my face become shine after just few hours but with this it lasts until when i reach home from work. The MAC makeup artist recommend that i get this instead of the loose powder since it work the same way and this is easier to carry around.

MAC Studio Careblend in Dark

Studio Careblend in Dark

This is one of the error the MUA give to me. It is a little bit too dark as my contour colour. I didnt know better when i bought it, trusted her judgment. When i try to use it, the colour doesnt seem right on me.

Sigma Shape N Dry

I have been getting tired on how long it took to dry my MAC brushes so i decided to go online and search for ways to make brushes dry faster. I found this and try it out.

Sigma Shape N Dry

It does cut down the time to dry the brushes a lot. Previously took me 12 hours to get all the brushes dry, now its about 8 hours and all my brushes are good to go.

Full details are available at Sigma Beauty

The Dry'n Shape was specially designed to completely dry and shape your most dense brushes within 4 to 6 hours, guaranteed. The Dry’n Shape provides the necessary pressure to bristles to re-shape them while quickly and efficiently removing water from every bristle. It is an easy, quick, and effective way to quickly dry and shape your makeup brushes.
BRUSH CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
WASH - Wet brush head with warm water and work a small amount of cleanser into bristles. Use the Sigma Spa™ Brush Cleaning Glove to thoroughly wash brush until fully clean. Rinse brush and squeeze out any excess water.
SHAPE - Place your clean, damp brushes into the Dry’n Shape using the smallest band the brush will fit into, making sure that all bristles are firmly compressed.
DRY - After 4 to 6 hours, your brushes will be completely dry and reshaped to their original form - guaranteed!

It says 4-6 hours but for Malaysia weather that is humid i guess we need longer than that to make our brushes dry. Here my MAC brushes are nicely arranged inside the Shape N Dry. Sigma do have huge collection of brushes as well and cheaper but after reading lots of review I decide that MAC brushes seem to be better so i opt to use only MAC brushes.

I bought this from Maqup.com. They are the authorised dealer for Sigma products. Originally cost RM120 but i got it as a discount for RM108

MAC Eye Brushes

Here are my collection of MAC Eye Brushes

208 mainly for eyeliner

212 to tightline the eyeliner
213 is for the corner of my eyes and to highlight the brows
 217 for blending of eyeshadows
219 for smudging my eyeliner and eyeshadows.

226 is my favourite eye brush. Soft and perfect for the crease.
227 is for eye but i use it for blending on my face.

239 is for me to pat on colours on my eyelid.

266 is for me to put color on my eyebrows.

275 is for me to do contouring.

I only have one lip brush which is 316.

MAC Face Brushes

My worst cosmetics obsessions are MAC Brushes. I have read reviews, google to see whether other cheaper brands will be as good but i still find generally most would say that MAC brushes are the best. So i start collecting MAC brushes. Its pretty expensive here, the cheapest one cost about RM90 and the most expensive ones are RM230(that is the 138). Think im almost done by now, bought almost every single brushes that they have ( Still wishing to get the 182, but i wait until i go to USA since its cheaper there). I buy many brushes since i dont like to mix up my brushes. I know some of the brushes can work with different products but i rather one brush for one product so that i dont mess up my makeup.

Face Brushes:

116 is for me to do contouring. Works very well deposting my contour colour below my cheeks.

129 generally for me to put on blusher. Sometimes i use it for my Studio fix powder.
138 is my go to brush for my Skinfinish natural and loose powder. Works best as contour brush.
190: My first MAC Brush. Now I only use it to put on moisturizer as i dont like that it tends to streak.

187 and 130 is for me to use liquid foundation.

187 for overall face then 130 for small places that 187 cant reach

Got two new brush from my trip.

MAC 182 is the best kabuki/blending brush. I already got a few Bare Minerals, ELF, Too Faced but this is the best so far. Too faced teddy brush is good for travel but the pulling up and down of the holder feel like a hassle to me.

MAC 150. I already have the 138 but i guess the tapered brush dont work well for loose powder. I need something more flat.
