Dry brushing with Body Shop Cactus Brush

I have been reading a lot of articles about the benefit of dry brushing your body so I thought I give it a try. First, i have to find a brush with natural bristles. Living in Kuching, its hard to get stuffs although its a big city. I finally found one in Body Shop at City One. Its the only one left so i grab it rightaway

It is called Cactus Brush(RM55). I have to say it feels like cactus too, I cant brush my body too harsh as the bristles are quite sharp. So i gently brush my body in circles from feet towards the heart.

Then once a week I will use Ximenia & Salt Scrub(RM112) to scrub my body. Only do it on weekends as that is the only time that im free.

My SK II skincare products

Im quite new to SK II. I wasnt keen on it first as its well known to be very expensive. But a lot of ladies rave about it. So one day I was browsing the skincare/makeup counters at Parkson, The Spring then came across the SKII counter. The ladies there are very friendly and nice. They gave me some samples of SK II products to try, the 'miracle water' Facial Treatment Essence, Facial Treatment Lotion and Facial Treatment Cleanser. I tried it for two weeks, i can see the difference it makes to my skin. My acne scars become lighter and the scars are not so deep as it used to be.

So I went back to the counter to buy more stuffs. It was December so they are having this year end promotion. Then they told me in January there will be a price hike. I end up buying more than RM3000 worth of products(yeah, its a lot). I even got their luggage bag after spending more than RM2000 at one time.

This is the toner that i use twice a day after shower. It helps to remove any dirt that i have left on my face after cleansing. It contains AHA so it also helps to remove dead skin cells gently. I bought the 150ml bottle for RM188 and 215ml for RM229. I just bought another 215ml bottle last month, it has increased the price to RM249.

Facial Treatment Essence

This is their bestseller, the 'Miracle Water'. I thought its just a hype, but after using it for few months I believe that it works. It helps to reduce redness and moisturize my skin. I realised too that my skin is less oily now. I got the 150ml bottle together with the Facial Essence set for RM188. The 330ml costs RM699.

I love this mask. After i put it on, it plump my skin and makes my skin glow. When i wake up my skin looks so good. I normally squeeze it first as there's a lot of juice inside the mask. Use it then keep the juice for me to use for the next few days. This costs RM299 for pack of 6.

This I got from a not so good SKII advisor. She recommend me this, then after I go to several SKII counters realise that its not mean for me as I have very oily skin. So now it just sit looking pretty in my room. This costs RM499.

This somehow the only one SKII products that give me allergy. Im not sure why as its ingredients are similar to the rest. Costs RM292 so another time that my money goes to the drain.

natural hair mask with coconut and olive oil

Didnt update this blog for 6 months as i was busy preparing for my wedding. Now that its over i finally have the time to update this again.

Lately i have been noticing that my hair get very dry although i do hair treatment in the salon. So i decided to google and search for natural alternatives. Found this recipe, so far i tried it just twice but seem to do wonders to my hair.

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. After reading reviews they said the best one is cold pressed and unrefined for coconut oil. Then for olive oil to get Extra Virgin.

Mix it all together then just lather to dry hair. Then use a shower cap and let it there for minimum 15 mins. I usually let it there longer then spend the time playing computer games or surfing facebook. After i feel im done, i just wash my hair as usual.

I find that after i use this hair mask i no longer need conditioner to detangle my hair. My hair now detangle easily in the shower. And now it look much healthier than it ever does.
