MAC Cosmetics Part I

Most of my cosmetics are from MAC. Its one of the few high end cosmetics that we have in Kuching so i shop there often for my cosmetics fix. I think i shop there too often until most of the MUA there knows me. I guess i post it in batches since i have too many.

The first few stuffs i got from them is the Studio Fix liquid foundation NC25, Studio Fix Powder foundation NC25, brow gel and Studio Careblend in dark.

MAC Studio Fix Liquid in NC25

This is the best coverage foundation so far for me. I have lots of acne scars so this do a good job in covering my uneven skin.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation
MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC25
I use this when i need to do a quick makeup before i go to work. It has less coverage than the liquid version but still cover the face well. I throw away the sponge and use 129 or 138 to put it on.

MAC Brow Set in Beguile

MAC Prep & Prime Pressed Powder
Prep & Prime Pressed powder

Prep and Prime Pressed Powder. This is one of my HG powder as it helps to keep the shine away from my face and make it shine free for hours. Sometimes when i forgot to put it on, my face become shine after just few hours but with this it lasts until when i reach home from work. The MAC makeup artist recommend that i get this instead of the loose powder since it work the same way and this is easier to carry around.

MAC Studio Careblend in Dark

Studio Careblend in Dark

This is one of the error the MUA give to me. It is a little bit too dark as my contour colour. I didnt know better when i bought it, trusted her judgment. When i try to use it, the colour doesnt seem right on me.

Sigma Shape N Dry

I have been getting tired on how long it took to dry my MAC brushes so i decided to go online and search for ways to make brushes dry faster. I found this and try it out.

Sigma Shape N Dry

It does cut down the time to dry the brushes a lot. Previously took me 12 hours to get all the brushes dry, now its about 8 hours and all my brushes are good to go.

Full details are available at Sigma Beauty

The Dry'n Shape was specially designed to completely dry and shape your most dense brushes within 4 to 6 hours, guaranteed. The Dry’n Shape provides the necessary pressure to bristles to re-shape them while quickly and efficiently removing water from every bristle. It is an easy, quick, and effective way to quickly dry and shape your makeup brushes.
BRUSH CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
WASH - Wet brush head with warm water and work a small amount of cleanser into bristles. Use the Sigma Spa™ Brush Cleaning Glove to thoroughly wash brush until fully clean. Rinse brush and squeeze out any excess water.
SHAPE - Place your clean, damp brushes into the Dry’n Shape using the smallest band the brush will fit into, making sure that all bristles are firmly compressed.
DRY - After 4 to 6 hours, your brushes will be completely dry and reshaped to their original form - guaranteed!

It says 4-6 hours but for Malaysia weather that is humid i guess we need longer than that to make our brushes dry. Here my MAC brushes are nicely arranged inside the Shape N Dry. Sigma do have huge collection of brushes as well and cheaper but after reading lots of review I decide that MAC brushes seem to be better so i opt to use only MAC brushes.

I bought this from Maqup.com. They are the authorised dealer for Sigma products. Originally cost RM120 but i got it as a discount for RM108

MAC Eye Brushes

Here are my collection of MAC Eye Brushes

208 mainly for eyeliner

212 to tightline the eyeliner
213 is for the corner of my eyes and to highlight the brows
 217 for blending of eyeshadows
219 for smudging my eyeliner and eyeshadows.

226 is my favourite eye brush. Soft and perfect for the crease.
227 is for eye but i use it for blending on my face.

239 is for me to pat on colours on my eyelid.

266 is for me to put color on my eyebrows.

275 is for me to do contouring.

I only have one lip brush which is 316.

MAC Face Brushes

My worst cosmetics obsessions are MAC Brushes. I have read reviews, google to see whether other cheaper brands will be as good but i still find generally most would say that MAC brushes are the best. So i start collecting MAC brushes. Its pretty expensive here, the cheapest one cost about RM90 and the most expensive ones are RM230(that is the 138). Think im almost done by now, bought almost every single brushes that they have ( Still wishing to get the 182, but i wait until i go to USA since its cheaper there). I buy many brushes since i dont like to mix up my brushes. I know some of the brushes can work with different products but i rather one brush for one product so that i dont mess up my makeup.

Face Brushes:

116 is for me to do contouring. Works very well deposting my contour colour below my cheeks.

129 generally for me to put on blusher. Sometimes i use it for my Studio fix powder.
138 is my go to brush for my Skinfinish natural and loose powder. Works best as contour brush.
190: My first MAC Brush. Now I only use it to put on moisturizer as i dont like that it tends to streak.

187 and 130 is for me to use liquid foundation.

187 for overall face then 130 for small places that 187 cant reach

Got two new brush from my trip.

MAC 182 is the best kabuki/blending brush. I already got a few Bare Minerals, ELF, Too Faced but this is the best so far. Too faced teddy brush is good for travel but the pulling up and down of the holder feel like a hassle to me.

MAC 150. I already have the 138 but i guess the tapered brush dont work well for loose powder. I need something more flat.

the Balm stuffs

Went to Sasa in the Spring, Kuching and was excited that the Balm is available in Kuching that i got a haul of their stuffs in one go.  And the best part their products are made of USA. I no longer go for brands that have products made in China in their description as i notice that most products that do produce in China have much poorer quality when it is sold here (for example L'oreal, Mary Kay, Avon).

Here are the list of stuffs i got:

Shady lady Vol 3

I love the pigmentation of the Balm. Its very pigmented and creamy. I love pigmented eyeshadows as it dont require lots of effort to layer up and just need to use a little bit.

Bon Jovi Rockstar. This is my favourite the Balm pallette. It have eyeshadows, eyeliners, highlighter, blusher and lip gloss in one. Handy to travel with.

Meet Matt(e). I got this as i dont have many matte eyeshadows. It can be used as colored eyeliner too.

Sexy Mama. A cute finishing powder for on the go. I do like the photo of the sexy marilyn monroe look on the front :-)

Urban Decay Obsessions

I look at my drawers and noticed that i have lots of eyeshadows palette by now. Mostly from Urban Decay. So here are what i have with me.

Naked 1

the original Naked palette. I got this from the states, part of the stuffs that i paid online at Urbandecay.com then ask them to deliver it to Jon's house. It costs 50usd there, in Malaysia only sephora have it and i look online, it priced at RM179(60usd). So i saved RM30 by buying it from the states. This Naked palette comes with a free Urban Decay Primer Potion that i love.

Naked 2

I was in Sephora Singapore and saw this but wasn't sure about buying. Then i visited Sephora KLCC and decided what the heck, i just might as well buy it or i might regret not buying it when i'm back in Kuching. Got it for RM179. I do love using natural colours for work since my dresses are colourful enough compared to my colleagues. So at least i wear nude colours for my face :-P

Naked Basics
I got this Naked Basics as i was thinking this will be a handy palette for travel. It turns out to be my favourite palette to use especially when i'm running late for work and can't decide what eyeshadows colour i want to use.

Then i have the big Vice palette when i was thinking of exploring with colors:

UD Vice pallette
I haven't really play much with this yet. I guess its cool to have varieties, thats why i decided to get this.

Then my first UD palette that makes me fall in love with UD shadows: UD Sustainable box

UD Sustainable box
Im not a fan of the design of this pallette. Tends to get some of the eyeshadow get 'hit' when i swirl the cover. It does have lots of different colours for me to use. And i got this when i first started to be interested in makeup so this was a good pallette for me to try out.

Smokey eye palette

UD Smokey eye
I loves this for the dramatic look that i can create just by using the palette. Enclosed together with this pallette is a book of the smokey looks you can create using the palette. The book was very helpful for a newbie like me to learn on how to do smokey eye. I do have to say when i try to follow the book, my eyes does appear too dramatic even when i tone down the colours.

I got the Urban Decay All nighter as well

I read reviews after reviews and most bloggers says that this is one of the best makeup setting spray. It does keep my makeup for a long time. So im glad that i got it.

24/7 liner in perversion

24/7 Liner in perversion
A nice black liner. I havent really use it much yet as i prefer brown eyeliner for work. I guess i'll wait for the next dinner out then i will try and see how it looks like.

Supercurl mascara

UD Supercurl
One of my favourite mascara. Im not that good with eyelash curler yet so I loves the way it curls my eyelashes more after i use the eyelash curler.

Stuffs coming in from USA

Ok, im thinking that i should start blogging my obsessions makeup and gadgets so that i remember what i have. And remember to use it as well! So this blog is my personal blog to write on stuffs i love.

Now still waiting for Pilly to ship all the makeup that i ordered. And I must remember that i ordered 3 Urban Decay pallette sitting at Jon's home now. So here are the list that still in USA.

Elizabeth Arden set. Bought Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion Sunscreen SPF 15 and Visible Difference Skin Balancing Night Cream. The rest are free gifts.

Then got the UDPP Primer Potion in greed and sin.

I got the Original, so now i have 3 out of 4.

Then 3 pallette with Jon:

Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box

Deluxe Shadow Box

Mariposa Palette

Ordered some Ben Nye products too. Its stage makeup so they dont have a brick and mortar store. Had difficulty searching for reviews on them. But i manage to get some stuffs.

Ben Nye Concealer pallette. I got extra Cover Tattoo 2 as this is the concealer for my face. This costs 42usd

Traslucent Powder Ben Nye - Neutral (13usd). Read reviews that its similar to MAC prep and prime loose powder.

One blogger sell her stuffs to pay for her sister to school. So i decided to get some cheap stuffs from her yesterday.

Make Up For Ever HD Powder. She sold 2 of it at 4usd each. So i got both.

Tarte finishing powder. Got this one as well since its cheap.

Urban Decay 24/7 in zero. Im hooked on UD products for eyes. Got this for 7usd, normal price is 20usd.
